Ferdinand succeeded his uncle on the latter’s death (Carol I died without surviving issue) as King of Romania on 10 October 1914, reigning until his own death on 20 July 1927. King Ferdinand’s Funerals

King Ferdinand died on July 20, 1927 in Peles Castle in Sinaia, for bowel cancer. After the King’s death , the parliament proclaims grandson Michael , as new King. Because Michael is still infant , it is named an Regency . On July 24, the country held a national funeral. Funeral cortege passes through Bucharest and the funeral service takes place at the Orthodox Cathedral.
