Henri Cartier-Bresson was the photographer considered to be the father of modern photojournalism. He was invited to visit Bucharest and Romania in may  1975 , at the celebration of victory over the Nazis. Below are some pictures made during this journey in Romania. These photos were found in the Detroit Publishing Co.. , Catalogue J foreign section, Detroit Publishing Company, 1905. Besides Bucharest and Sinaia are also several cities which at that time were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, such as Brasov, Sibiu and Cluj Napoca. Via: loc.gov
